Tongham is one of the villages that makes up the Blackwater Valley Conurbation which also includes the towns of Aldershot, Badshot Lea, Blackwater, Deepcut, Farnborough, Farnham, Frimley, Sandhurst and Yately as well as a number of local villages. The domestic centre covering Tongham recycling is Slyfield Community Recycling Centre (Tip), Moorfield Road, Guildford (GU1 1RU). Open 7 days a week, all year except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. The site is owned by Surrey County Council and is managed by their contractor, Sita Surrey.
